Playing a hybrid of flamenco, Middle Eastern, folk and blues music is my passion…but video games? I’m terrible at them. I remember growing up I sucked so bad my friends made me watch. Back then it was pretty boring but nowadays a lot of video games are like movies. I’m cool with watching now.
But composing music for video games…now that’s a lot of fun. A lot of instrumental music nowadays is composed for video games. Since my music is instrumental, it works pretty well!
Composing for Sally was a real treat. I wanted to create music with tension and a feeling of desperation. The rhythm was recorded with a darbourka drum and stays constant like a steady heart beat, and the melody conveys Sally’s speed! What fun 😀
